This is most definitely one of the most stunning weddings I have ever attended, photographed and seen. I am in AWE!! Dennis & Doris are not only incredible people on their own, but together they shine of a love so deep and true that you can't help but adore them. They flew me out to Missouri to capture their Wedding Day, and I got there the day before their Wedding and got to see the beauty of Missouri and be apart of the-day-before-craziness haha, but really it was a Wedding Weekend I will never forget, surrounded by incredible people (I'm not even gonna talk about their awesome bridal party aka. my instant bffs, they're amazing, if you're reading this guys - you're all amazing! thank you for everything). As for the beautiful wedding you will see, every detail was perfectly planned and put together by the two of them and their family and friends! It was truly breath-taking, from the beginning of the Wedding Day in a home on the lake ( seriously, just look at the glory of the rising sun in the photo below, through the fog on the lake) to the stunning sunset and their awesome getaway haha. Dennis & Doris, thank you for your kindness and love and for being the incredible people you are. The Lord's hand is so evident over your lives may His glory continue to shine through you and your love for one another, as well as those around you all the days of your lives. "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."

Happy #WeddingWednesday friends! We are so excited to finally reveal our long awaited secret-project, perfectly embodying the magic of summer and what it's all about. This shoot takes place in our favourite place - the beach, and is filled with brilliant bold colours, sunshine and incredible sunsets. So summed up; all we love about summer. I am so honoured to have been a part of this stunning project designed and styled by the amazing Vanessa at He First Loved Us Weddings together with the Parlour Soiree decorating team and our breath-taking model Becca was everything a photographer dreams of working with. That stunning summer day was filled with fun and excitement and needless to say, I have definitely made some wonderful friends in this incredible team of vendors that I am so excited to work with again. _______ From He First Loved Us Weddings - We are very excited to share this beautiful styled bridal shoot with you (which is our first ever) at the Port Dalhousie Pier Marina in St.Catharines, Ontario! In planning, we set out to capture the magic and romance of the summer carnival--and what better way to do that then with an antique one hundred year old carousel (that is fully functioning, might I add)? Combine that with beautiful hues of blush and mint, bold statement jewels, an ethereal Vera Wang ballgown, and a fun colourful wedding cake from Honey Bake Shop and it was truly magical. With the help of Parlour Soiree (who also put together our beautiful blooms and glittering table) we added vintage details like a typewriter and record player to pull the magic together in the best possible way. It was all captured incredibly by the very talented Denisa, of Redeemed Photography. Our hopes are that when you look at her amazing photos, they evoke in you feelings of fun, young love and endless summer. Accessories: Forever 21

When I think of these two, it's only words like " beautiful, blessed, holy, joyful, spirit-filled" that come to my mind. And their wedding day was nothing short of those words. They had a small, family-filled ceremony and celebration, and I am so grateful that I got be among all of those incredible people. Every face I looked at, the smiling face of Christ shone through. Sarah & Dave first and foremost, are so full of the love of Christ, running faithfully their race of holiness towards their King. It's incredible to see two people so focused and on fire for Christ, and so in love with one another too, and choosing to partner together in a life-long pursuit of building the Kingdom. They had communion together for the first time as husband and wife, on their Wedding Day, and worshipped the Lord together in songs with all their friends and family. It was truly a Spirit-Filled ceremony. They actually first met while missioning in New Zealand! (so cool) He's from Canada, and she's from California, and the Lord brought them together and oh man is He ever glorified through these two and their love. I'm so excited to see what the Lord will do through them! Between our coffee meetings and skype dates, they became dear friends to me very quickly. They are so perfect for one another, and even more perfect together. God bless you Sarah & Dave and may He keep you both madly in love with His heart and each other, glorifying His name! PS. Isn't her niece the cutest thing ever?! she has a baby brother who's just as cute! AND they're expecting another yummy bundle of cuteness!
On August 1st, Tim & Catherine tied the knot in the beautiful Westcroft Gardens of Gross Ile (by the way, I never really understood the whole "American Dream" thing until I stepped foot on this little island. It was like out of a movie or something. Green everywhere, sun is shining and everyone is walking and the most beautiful landscaping EVERYWHERE. And I'm not even gonna talk about the houses right on the river.) Cat & Tim are honestly THE most adorable couple. Cat just oozes of cuteness and she has the sweetest and kindest heart. Their love for each other is soooo obvious it's ridiculous. Every man should love his woman the way Tim loves Cat. All in all, it was a perfect day. Full of beauty and overflowing with love and so many more emotions that make each wedding day special. At this part, Tim said "I do" very eagerly but before he was supposed to and it was the cutest and funniest moment haha! ps. here's a shot of the behind-the-scenes of what we do to get the perfect shot. ;)
We went out right before sundown, in the fields next to Diana's house out in the country and amazing beauty was inevitable.
These two are not only good friends of ours (Diana was one of my awesome friends who planned my bridal shower + was there the whole week before my wedding dealing with all the crazy and all my constant screaming excitement haha), but they're also full of laughter and silliness, and overflowing with love for one another. This session was a dream, take it in. In a place where beauty abounds, the sun peaks almost magically through the trees...and mosquitoes thrive and bite without remorse, we had a wonderful and fun little adventure shoot with Emily and Dylan.
Besides all the mosquitoes, this shoot was so much fun, and these two are a total blast to shoot and just simply be around in. They're goofy and silly and so much fun, and they were literally glowing with love for one another. Complete with a picnic, a balloon toss and a water balloon fight, these two are the bomb. Enjoy these following photos friends, and marvel at how simply awesome these two are, just like I did throughout the shoot and in post-editing afterwards. :) When this couple contacted me for a shoot and described it as "romantic, soft and whimsical" I was really really excited. Mansii is actually one of the girls I went to high school with and laughed with in the randomest of classes, so I was excited when she told me that herself and her boyfriend wanted to do a shoot. I love everything romantic and fairytale-like and these two are literally right out of a fairytale. As I was shooting I would just stop and look at the results and stare with my jaw dropped. These two are way perfect together, and they truly bring out all that romance is all about. The way they look at each other and laugh together and even their body language just spoke of the sweetest love they have for one another. We shot at sunset, in the dreamiest of gardens and finished shooting under the full moon - what could be more romantic?
In February, I had the joy of shooting this beautiful couple's breath-taking barn wedding. Not only was it a total blast, but it all went so so smoothly (besides the crazy wind when we tried to take photos outside..). Almost everything, all the decor you see was done by Bethany and her family and friends, all DIY. So so beautiful!! The cutest little flower girls and Vali's son EJ (now bethany's son also) making us all smile constantly. And how cool that Bethany's dad was the one who actually officiated the wedding! It was a beautiful wedding day, filled with so much love from their family and friends! I am so honoured to have been able to shoot your beautiful day and have been a part of it. I don't know two people that deserve all this joy than you two. I pray a lifetime of happiness, and God's hand over your marriage and life together, Vali and Bethany. Congratulations to the Beautiful New Family!
This past summer, I got the amazing chance to roadtrip across Romania with my family. I grew up there until I was 10 years old, but never went too far. This time, we went all across the country, from Baia Mare (NorthWest Romania) to Bucuresti (SouthEast Romania). The highlight of my trip was getting to go up to the Bucegi Mountains, and it was surreal. That was sort of my end destination. We got lost trying to find the road to there and got lost once we found the road and just kept getting lost until we finally made it before sunset. It was wild, and awesome. These are some photos that bring me back to that absolutely incredible day. Land for sale on top of the Bucegi Mountains...why not? My little sister and the crazy view - Bucegi Mountains. My dad and I decided to climb a random mini-mountain to see the view from higher up. It was beyond worth it. I just remember walking up to that rock and being completely blown away thinking "God, are you kidding me?" So glorious. My dad loves biking, and lucky enough some mountain bikers were coming down the road and stopped beside us, and my dad asked if he could take a picture with their bike in this cool spot since he didn't have his hahaha. Driving up to the top of the mountains, and the view was breath-taking all around in all its simplicity. We took a Jeep up the rough path of to the top of the mountains, and then hiked about 20 minutes to where the "Babele si Sfinxul" are (natural stone formations that look like old ladies & the sphinx). It was cold and crazy. The fog was swallowing us from all around, and we weren't sure which direction to go. There was a chairlift you could take to the top of the mountains, but it wasn't working that day because of the high winds, and the abandoned house you see in the distance we believe it was one of the lodges where the chairlift would bring you to. The one picture that really shows what the fog was like. You can't see anything around me. So wild. And...we finally made it to the Babele si Sfinx. In awe...total awe. My body language tells that clearly. It started to rain and hail, but the fog was lifting and I just wanted to try and see the view of the mountains around me, so I climbed where I could. Total Awe. Everyone went to a little mini-lodge to grab some tea and warm up and dry off while waiting for the rain to stop. I did too, and then I decided I still didn't see enough so I went attempting to find the edge of the mountain through the fog (praying I wouldn't fall off, of course). I found it, but the fog was still crazy impairing and blocking all the good views. This was the closest to a view I could get, and of course the mountainous range surrounding me was covered up by the fog. My dad found me then, calling me that we had to head back down the mountain since the sun had already set and it would be dark soon. I was soaked from my hair right down to my socks. One wild adventure, that I'll remember forever. And the ride back down was pretty sweet. But it did snow...in August. I plan on coming back in the middle of summer so that I can see it all again, and this time..no fog blocking my view..;)
I decided to put blog these two shoots together, since they were mini shoots and similar too, as they feature random headpieces we bought and other things we thrift-shopped (like the gorgeous antique film camera you're about to see). Both days were beautiful and breathtaking, just like these two girls. With Bianca, I just wanted to capture who she is - interesting, beautiful and down to earth. And with Lisa, I really wanted to make her a modern-day Snow White, with a hint of vintage. I'm excited to finally blog them! Check out this gorgeous 1930s film camera!
